With your help, we can ensure that Anuk has a safe life full of joy Your donation helps us with the daily care of the bears in BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. Think of nutritious meals , medical care , varied play materials and comfortable resting places . Together we ensure that Anuk and her bear friends get the love and attention they deserve. Dear Erna, thank you for everything you do for animals like Anuk.
In Vietnam, the production of bear bile and the trade in bear products are prohibited. However, these cruel practices still take place, and many bears suffer in appalling conditions. FOUR PAWS is committed to putting an end to this abuse and provides rescued bears with a safe haven in BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. There are still 327 bears living on approximately 105 bear bile farms. These are mainly black bears. The animals suffer in metal cages, are dehydrated and are barely fed. We rescue as many of these bears as possible and transfer them to our own BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. The government is taking tougher action and is working closely with us to take in the bears. In our sanctuary, the animals live in a safe environment and receive the best possible care.
