Animal Nepal geeft 52 eigenaren van ezels die in de steengroeven werken een diploma voor goede zorg van hun dieren

Golden Globe is back again !!

To be honest, donkeys rule. Don't underestimate them".
Animal Nepal organized Best Equine Owner and Handler  Award distribution
programme in the month of May, 2017.
At the end of the brick season, Animal Nepal organizes award ceremony for all the equine owners and handlers. We awarded the three best owners and handlers with nominal cash prize and food for their equines. Altogether there were 52 participants in the two different programme that we had organized.

After the prize distribution ,for our young handlers, we showed them a movie " Tahaana" about a relationship between a young boy with his mule. A little show of appreciation to these handlers and owners at the end of the season. We hope that they get motivated to treat their equines better and better!!  AN Executive Director Uttam Kafle, Advocacy Office Urvashi Rana, Equine Outreach Programme Coordinator Dr.Atish Kumar Yadav and the rest of the team distributed the prizes and certificate to them.
Anti Rabies Vaccination Programme
Animal Nepal carried out their annual Anti Rabies Vaccination programme at Chobhaar Danda/Jalpadevi and Chobhaar Gate area where 122 dogs were vaccinated. Our team used mobile application to keep a digital record of the all dogs that were caught and vaccinated. Animal Nepal Team also held an awareness programme regarding this fatal disease, where we made the community members aware of how to deal with the rabies. We had enthusiastic and willing community members who not only got their own dogs vaccinated but helped us to catch stray dogs and got them vaccinated. We strive for better and healthy furry friends and community.

Mobile Saviour!!

Our Mobile Response Team; vet technician Gautam Khatri along with our dedicated volunteer, Prabuddha Sherpa went to check on a one year old stray dog who had been hit by a truck. The poor dog, though not seriously injured, was in shock and was suffering from muscular pains. After much cajoling, our vet tech gave him painkillers and a saline drip. In all likelihood, the pup will recover.
Another reminder to all the drivers to be careful, as it's quite traumatizing for these poor animals; and this one was lucky as the community members had called us to check on him. Be careful and remain safe.
Animal Nepal would like to thank community people, local and regional stakeholders, supporters, donors and our dedicated staff for their joint effort, which enables us to reach out to several needy animals.
