Animal Nepal found Siddhi limping along the road at Harisiddi after few weeks of earthquake. Her front left leg was broken with her bone sticking out of her wound. We could only imagine the level of pain she endured. But little did we know what a fighter she was!

SIDDHI, A Magical Being!

Siddhi found limping with a broken leg at Harisiddhi weeks after earthquake and was taken to Chobar animal shelter.

A devastating earthquake on April 25th measuring 7.9 Richter scale hit our country badly. Where tens of thousands of people lost their lives, the condition of animal victims were even worst. Animal Nepal geared up to offer treatment, shelter, food and water to animals in desperate need. Countless injured animals received life-saving treatment at the wake of disaster. And among the rescued ones, 'Siddhi', who managed to leave a special print in our harts.

Siddhi was special to us in many ways. When we met Siddhi few weeks after the earthquake she was limping along the road at Harisiddi. We found her front left leg completely broken with a terrible wound on her neck too. Her broken bone was sticking out of her wound and we could only imagine the level of pain she was enduring. While inquiring we got to know that Siddhi was pulled out from the rubble of a collapsed building 3 days after the earthquake. Sadly, no one informed us about her plight and we only found her 3 weeks later.

She was then taken to Chobar Animal Shelter. Even in such a pain she would greet anyone coming towards her. She was a total bundle of inspiration for us. Dr Sunil Thapa found that Siddhi's metacarpal bone was exposed and the radius and ulna fractured is various places. Shiddhi had to be amputated. He amputated her leg and treated the large wound on her neck, after which she quickly recovered.
Siddhi is really happy to get a second chance to live where she is enjoying every bit of happiness at Animal Nepal.
Siddhi is a gentle soul who appreciates every little bit of support she is getting. Even with only her 3 legs she manages to jump and dance when someone brings yummy bowl of food for her. She has been spayed and is now enjoying every bit of happiness under a special care at Animal Nepal's head office. She truly is a 'Siddhi', a magical being!
