Beruchte wilde dieren trofeejager van 'Pro Hunt Africa' doodgeschoten: de dierenbeul liet zich fotograferen bij alle wilde dieren die hij doodde

 WARNING: Disturbing images

A trophy hunter has been found shot dead in South Africa after his truck broke down, according to reports.

Riaan Naude, 55, who was head of Pro Hunt Africa, regularly shared photos of himself with his kills, which included lions and elephants.

His body was reportedly found next to his vehicle in Marken Road, Limpopo. Police said they have found no motive yet, the New York Post reports.

Two hunting rifles as well as ammunition, clothing, water and whiskey were found in Mr Naude’s car near the Kruger National Park wildlife reserve, local outlet Maroela Media reported.

The Heritage Protection Group (HPG) – a non-profit organisation which aims to prevent and investigate serious crime – said Mr Naude had pulled over to the side of the road after his car overheated about 5km from Mokopane.

It claimed a white Nissan was then seen stopping next to the vehicle. Two men then got out and one allegedly shot Mr Naude at close range, Metro UK reports.

HPG claimed the men then stole one of Mr Naude’s guns and fled the scene.

Police confirmed that Mr Naude was shot dead, reports said.

Police Lt Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi said officers found Mr Naude’s body “lying with his face up” with “blood on his head and face”, according to multiple news outlets.

“The motive for the attack and the subsequent murder is unknown at this stage,” Lt Colonel Seabi said.

A cattle herder reportedly heard a gunshot and witnessed a Nissan truck speeding away, according to police.

Mr Naude’s company, based in northern South Africa, labels itself a “hunting and Eco Safari outfit” for tourists.

“We are your African dream,” the website boasts. The business charges $500 per day to hunt game, $3600 for crocodile and $2200 for a giraffe, according to Pro Hunt Africa’s price list.
